Chicago Bears: 10 players facing important training camp
By Ryan Heckman
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix
We have now come to the man which has been amongst plenty of debate on social media lately. If you’re part of “Bears Twitter,” you may have seen a few conversations revolving around Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Specifically, it’s Green Bay Packers fans which have suddenly disowned his talent.
Is he the best safety in the league? Not a chance. But, is he a great fit for the Bears? Absolutely.
In his first (and maybe only) training camp with the Bears, Clinton-Dix knows he is practicing and playing for a multi-year contract next offseason. What better defense to play with under those circumstances?
If he is able to gel with his new teammates and make plays on the ball (which is one of his best traits and biggest weaknesses at times), Clinton-Dix will find his way to a bigger contract next year. But, it all starts in camp.
I’m actually interested to see if he can hone his coverage skills a bit more while working with Chuck Pagano throughout camp. He’s been known to take too many risks or get beat often because of his mentality, but if anybody can help break that habit a bit, it’s Pagano.
