Can you imagine how electric Soldier Field will be the night of September 5th? It’s the first game of the NFL season, celebrating the 100th year of the league’s most storied franchise. Not to mention, the Chicago Bears are squaring off against their most bitter rival in the Green Bay Packers, in primetime.

For Bears fans, that night can’t come soon enough. By now, we’re ready to get the season rolling — as is every other football fan on the planet.

But, for Bears fans, it’ll be a night which we hope to kick off the 2019 campaign with a little bit of, “I told you so.”

We’ve all seen and heard the Mitchell Trubisky hate by now. The Madden ratings have gotten the best of everyone, both the good reactions and bad. We’ve seen the condescending narratives revolving around Ha Ha Clinton-Dix switching sides in a way, as well as all of the bad takes regarding the Jordan Howard trade.

The criticism is on a whole different level, as it should be.

The reigning NFC North Champions don’t have to be liked. They don’t have to be highly regarded. That’s fine — they’ll just do the talking on the field.

But, before that night, there is still a long journey ahead. The grueling days of putting in all the hard work in training camp are about to begin. With that said, there are plenty of players to watch who have much to prove.
