2. Trade Alex Colome, Leury Garcia to the Texas Rangers

The Texas Rangers have been one of the most surprising contenders in the MLB during the 2019 season.

However, as the Rangers were not expecting to compete in 2019, they naturally have plenty of holes to fill. Among those holes are a catalyst and a closer.

More from Da Windy City

Luckily for them, the White Sox have the perfect fit for each hole.

Filling the hole at the closer role is Alex Colome, who would give the Rangers a massive bullpen boost. Filling the hole at the top of the lineup is Leury Garcia, a former Ranger.

In exchange for both Garcia and Colome, who are also both under control through at least next season, the White Sox would get a nice return.

That return is headlined by Cole Winn, the Rangers second-ranked prospect and a top-100 prospect in all of baseball. Winn is still a few years away from the major leagues, but he has a high ceiling as a former first-round pick, and would be an ideal centerpiece.

Next up is Leody Taveras, a player that I have been told the White Sox have interest in. Taveras is just 20 years old, but could be major league-ready by next season, which is ideal for the White Sox. Taveras would also fill out the White Sox future outfield, making him the perfect complementary piece.

Finally, the finishing piece of the deal is Taylor Hearn. Hearn is the Rangers 11th-ranked prospect and is a starter/long-reliever hybrid. Hearn is a lefty, which the White Sox lack throughout the organization, and therefore would be a great match to finish the deal with the Rangers.
