Chicago Bulls: Ranking the NBA’s top 10 young cores
Due to their recent success, many NBA fans have forgotten how young this Philadelphia 76ers team is.
Philadelphia already has two all stars in Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. With reports of Ben Simmons and the team nearing an agreement on a contract extension, it appears that Simmons and Embiid will be one of, if not the top, duo in the Eastern Conference for a very long time. If Simmons ever is able to find a jumper, he would likely join Embiid as a top-ten player in the NBA.
Despite the departure of Jimmy Butler, the Sixers were able to acquire Josh Richardson from Miami, yet another young piece to add to this lineup. Also coming off the bench for Philadelphia include Matisse Thybulle, Zhaire Smith, and Furkan Korkmaz. This reserve group is infamously unimpressive, yet the youth movement in thanks to recent drafts, the bench should see at least some improvement.
Mind you, Philadelphia also has Tobias Harris, who at the age of 26 just misses the age deadline to be considered a part of a young core. This 76ers team is extremely promising for both today and the future.
