With an insane NBA free agency period finally starting to come to a close, it is easy to overlook the bright futures in the league.

Teams like the Chicago Bulls feel a bit left out when watching franchises like the Los Angeles Clippers and Lakers make moves to land massive superstars. Perpetually waiting for the NBA draft to come along can be exhausting, but it is a necessary evil nonetheless.

While this summer was headlined by superstar free agents, major trades, and the creation of new superteams, there were also major moves made in the opposite direction to initiate a rebuild or to build on one that has already begun. With this being said, it is time to re-look at how the Bulls’ young core stacks up against those of other NBA teams.

Chicago didn’t make too many major youth movements this summer, aside from drafting Daniel Gafford and Coby White with the 38th and 7th overall selections. However, just because Gar Forman and John Paxson didn’t make any crazy rebuilding moves like New Orleans and Oklahoma City , the Bulls remain one of the league’s most promising young rosters.

This slideshow will analyze the top ten cores in the National Basketball Association, using only the players currently on their rosters. This means that the quantity or quality of future draft picks along with the cap situations of the franchise. In addition, players considered to be a part of a team’s young core must be at or under the age of twenty-five.
