Chicago Bears: Anthony Miller will dominate in 2019
The Chicago Bears have completely transformed their wide receiver corps. In just a couple seasons, the weakest position group might be their deepest position group going into 2019.
The Chicago Bears wide receiver group might have been one of the least talented groups in the league in 2017. Ryan Pace did not take long though to fix this problem as the Bears now have one of the deepest groups in the NFL.
The team might not have a top wide receiver like Julio Jones or DeAndre Hopkins, but they have a group of guys who can go off in any game. As Matt Nagy opens up the playbook more in 2019, I fully expect one of these guys to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark. Only two guys stand out to me as having that potential. Allen Robinson is obviously the top choice for most, but Miller is mine.
The Bears traded away their 2019 second-round pick to move up in the 2018 NFL Draft and snag Anthony Miller. I was high on Miller coming into the draft. I felt like he had the potential to be a better Jarvis Landry. A wide receiver who can play in any position and catch 90 to 100 balls a season. His hands and route running were superb and I was ecstatic when Pace made this move.
As I have stated before, I am a big fantasy football nerd. I have been playing for nearly two decades. I am multiple leagues and that includes dynasty leagues. Anthony Miller was a rookie I targeted heavily in all of my leagues. I could see his potential and I am excited about his rookie production.
Many rookies take two to three years to break out in the NFL. Miller showed me enough in year one that I see him becoming a future star. In fact, as much as I love Allen Robinson, I see Miller having the potential of becoming the Bears’ most productive wide receiver in 2019. The biggest issue Miller will have to face is overcoming his shoulder injury.
