Small Ball

I don’t quite know if this is the kind of lineup Boylen would want to use often, if ever. But, if the Bulls want to play at a faster tempo and need to match their opponent’s quickness on the floor, this is what I would envision:

PG: White

SG: Arcidiacono

SF: LaVine

PF: Porter

C: Young

In White, you still have a guy who is a bit bigger than most point guards at 6-foot-5. But, he’s the field general at this point. If you want a group of five smaller guys on the floor who can spot up and hit shots, this is likely what you would see.

Of course, this lineup wouldn’t work if the opposition has a true center out on the floor. But, against a team like the Warriors, I could see the Bulls doing something like this. Let’s be real, though. Against the Warriors, this Bulls team would still get ran out of the gym — all good things take time, my friends.

At any point in time, though, I do like the thought of having White, LaVine and Young as a potential fast break trio. Young is a hustler, and LaVine — well, you know what he can do with some room.
