The Chicago Bulls have already made a few moves in free agency. How have they done overall? We look at each one.

The Chicago Bulls have been a busy team over the course of this week. The 2019 free agency period started with a bang on Sunday night, where we saw many of the big names find new homes in a rather quick manner.

Whether it was Kevin Durant teaming up with Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn, D’Angelo Russell being dealt to the Dubs, Kemba Walker joining the Celtics, or the New York Knicks coming up empty by comparison, there has been plenty to talk about in the basketball world lately.

The Bulls didn’t make any explosive moves, but they certainly got off to a fast start. Obviously, most Bulls fans know that this team isn’t the type of free agent destination we would like it to be. But, the front office looks ready to make progress towards that goal based on the moves made thus far.

You cannot land a top-tier free agent until you start to win more games, and the Bulls are hopefully on a better track now than they were at this point last year.

To a core of Lauri Markkanen, Wendell Carter, Zach LaVine and Otto Porter, the Bulls added rookies Coby White and Daniel Gafford. In addition, this week, they added Thaddeus Young, Tomas Satoransky, Luke Kornet and also retained Ryan Arcidiacono.

So, what do all of these moves have in common? What do they mean, beyond the team simply signing mid-tier and low-tier free agents? The answer is actually much more positive than you may think. Let’s dive into each move and wrap them all together.
