The Chicago Blackhawks have a more appealing roster today than they did when the season ended by far. They added some good players and fans should be happy.

The Chicago Blackhawks season ended at the end of the regular season. They failed to qualify for the postseason for the second year in a row. This left even more of a sour taste in the mouths of everyone involved, especially because they had multiple players have career years. It felt like a waste of a 110 point season from Patrick Kane, an 81 point season from Jonathan Toews, and a 41 goal season from Alex DeBrincat.

These are great players but the Blackhawks knew they needed to add some depth up front and some help on defense in order to be a playoff team once again. Their power play got better as the season went along but it is also important they get that going right out of the gate as well. They also knew they needed a plan for the blue paint in case Corey Crawford‘s concussion issues linger and keep him out for any period of time.

Things got going not long after the Stanley Cup Final ended. Some trades, draft picks, and free agent signings make it seem like good days are ahead for the Blackhawks. All of the dust is settled from their current moves. More moves are likely to be made, but for now we will look at the guys who are now here and ready to go. This upcoming season is going to be fun, and these new guys are surely going to be a big part of it. We will be profiling all of the new names and showing how they will be fitting into Chicago’s system.
