Chicago Bears: Current players that aren’t going anywhere
By Ryan Heckman
Guard/Center Cody Whitehair
Very rarely does a team find an offensive lineman coming out of college who is ready for the NFL in nearly every aspect. Three years ago, the Bears found exactly that in Cody Whitehair. Chicago landed Whitehair in the second round back in 2016. The former Kansas State standout figured to come in and contribute immediately.

All he has done in his first three years is play in all 48 regular season games and make his way to a Pro Bowl last season. White hair has been durable, first of all. He has not missed a game since entering the NFL and has given the Bears true dependability at the position.
Outside of his strong health, Whitehair has given the Bears complete and total selflessness. He has switched between center and guard, playing whichever position the Bears have asked him to.
Due to how difficult it has been for many offensive linemen to make the jump from college to the pros over recent years, Whitehair seems to be the most irreplaceable man up front. He had his fair share of difficulties with snaps here and there, but Whitehair has continued to elevate his game and hone in on those weaknesses.
Whitehair is a Bear for the long haul, you better believe that.
