The Chicago Bulls have enough money to make a significant move in free agency, but must be wise.

The 2019 NBA Draft saw the Chicago Bulls take two promising players which could come in and contribute immediately. Most notably, they stayed right where they were at the seventh overall pick.

With all of the pre-draft rumors and craziness that was bound to (and did) ensue, it was surprising to see the Bulls not only pick at no. 7, but keep the rights to the player they drafted. The 2019 draft was one for the books, that’s for sure.

There were so many deals made that night, several players weren’t even sporting the correct team’s hat as they shook the commissioner’s hand and posed for photos. The Bulls, though, were not one of the teams to make any noise.

Funny enough, I was thrilled with the Coby White pick and I like the promise Daniel Gafford brings in the front court. But, the Bulls still have some work to do in free agency.

Chicago has to build upon the young core in place by adding depth. One of the biggest areas they could look to do so is at the point guard position. No one knows what the future truly holds for Kris Dunn, but his days might be numbered.

This coming Sunday, at 6:00PM ET, the madness begins. Normally, fans have to wait until midnight hits on July 1st. But, this year, the league is doing things differently — and thank goodness, we’ll all get a bit more sleep.

There are several players I’d be happy about the Bulls signing — and a few which would surprise because, let’s be honest, it’s the Bulls. But, some of the available veterans should already be crossed off the list if I’m John Paxson or Gar Forman.

Who are those players? Let’s get started with just a few.
