The wait is finally over, Chicago Bulls faithful: the NBA Draft is finally here! And like any other year, there shouldn’t be any shortage of drama.

Chicago Bulls fans can thank Rob Pelinka and David Griffin for getting the ball moving in that regard. The Pelicans possess the first and fourth overall picks, which is subject to change, but the draft ultimately starts at pick number five (unless New Orleans deals four away). For the Chicago Bulls, things should be straightforward.

Well, you’d like to think that things will be straightforward.

There have been an awful lot of rumors surrounding the team and as you’d expect, some are head-scratching. I honestly have no idea what Chicago is going to do because it’s a very volatile situation all around. At the very least, GarPax (we think) happened to be in talks to get Lonzo Ball from the Lakers in the Anthony Davis deal. If that played out accordingly, then this piece is about the 100 or however many options they’ll have at pick 38.

Then again, I think I’m okay with not dealing with Lavar Ball burning bridges or his childish behavior on “First Take”. Thankfully, ESPN amended what was a poor decision on their end.

Getting back on track, because of how hard this draft is to predict, there could be hundreds of possible combinations for the bulls at picks seven and 38. So I’m going to try something a little different.

I’ll list my thoughts on the several scenarios for the two draft picks they’re in possession of (for the moment). I’d like to believe Chicago winds up with the best possible outcome, but as I said earlier, the NBA Draft always has a ton of moving pieces and parts; there’s really no way of knowing what’ll happen until after the Knicks draft R.J. Barrett at three.
