Chicago Bulls Rumors: Making sense of all the pre-draft chatter
There has been no shortage of Chicago Bulls rumors this NBA Draft season and we try to make sense of it all.
The Chicago Bulls rumors leading up the next week’s NBA Draft have been running rampant. It can really be overwhelming as each day there seems to be another story linking the team to a particular player, or trade, or free agent who could impact their pick.
Now NBA Draft season could also be called ‘NBA lying season’ as much of what comes out in the way of ‘reports’ is false. Teams and agents may casually leak false or misleading information for a variety of reasons. Perhaps to build some hype around a client, or ferret out a mole within their organization. A team may even want to intentionally mislead to hide their true draft intentions — imagine that.
Sarcasm aside, the point is it’s important not to put too much stock into any single report. The reality is there are very few people who truly know the Bulls intentions in both free agency and with the No. 7 pick. And even then, those intentions can quickly change if the draft of free agent landscape changes.
A perfect example is the Anthony Davis trade. Perhaps the Bulls had every intention of being a player in a three-team trade, but the Los Angeles swooped in with an incredible offer and just like that, everything changed. Again the point is, we really don’t know for sure what is going on behind the scenes, but that doesn’t stop us from having fun speculating. We try to make sense of some of the latest rumors out there and offer our opinion as to whether the story is a rumor or reality.
