Chicago Bulls: 4 trades to move up in 2019 NBA Draft
By Ryan Heckman
Trade No. 4: Move up to no. 2
This package is for every Bulls fan out there who dreamt of bringing Ja Morant to Chicago. This is it. This is the big one. The Bulls would be going all-in on Morant in this scenario.
Essentially, Chicago is would be trading four first-round picks for the rights to Morant. Wendell Carter and Chandler Hutchison were both first-round selections in 2018, while the Bulls would also give up this year’s no. 7 pick and a first-rounder next year.
That pick would be unprotected.
The Grizzlies get a different kind of kickstart to their rebuild, while also hoping to move Mike Conley’s contract for additional assets. All in all, Memphis could wind up with three or four extra first-round picks after this offseason is over with.
The Bulls, meanwhile, finally get their guy. Morant is a future stud in the league. He would be the one to take this team to new heights. With LaVine, Markkanen, Porter and Morant, the Bulls would be a playoff team next season.
Going forward, this team would be thinking bigger and better and, maybe, they become a more attractive free agent destination.
Here’s to crazy dreams, folks.
