The first two picks in the NHL Draft are almost a lock so the true intrigue starts when the Blackhawks are on the clock at third overall.

The 2019 NHL Draft is fast approaching. The Chicago Blackhawks won the third lottery spot and will now make the third overall selection. There are two elite players at the top of the draft, and then the intrigue really starts when the Blackhawks name is called to make the third selection.

So who will Chicago take with the pick? Who will all of their division and western conference rivals select? Who will the Eastern Conference foes that often invade Chicago select? The entire league gets a makeover on draft night, and the Blackhawks better be ready. They are looking to retool in order to get the most out of the primes of players like Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, and Duncan Keith.
