With the NBA Finals nearing its conclusion, the 2019 NBA Offseason is just weeks away. Here is the blueprint to the ideal summer for the Chicago Bulls.

Despite a disappointing season and subsequential unlucky NBA Draft lottery, things are looking up for the Chicago Bulls heading into the 2019 Offseason.

Between rumors swirling around the Bulls involvement in big(ish) name free agents, an apparent “promise” to a draft prospect, and the improving health of the current roster, the Bulls are entering the offseason on a good note.

The Bulls finished with the fourth-worst record in the NBA last season due to a combination of poor play and several injuries. Obviously the team getting healthy is huge, but even when healthy, this Bulls team is not quite playoff caliber just yet.

Luckily the Bulls have money to spend. They could have room for a max contract, although unlikely, and will certainly have enough cap space to add at least one or two impact-makers.

Past the free agency market, the Bulls hold the seventh-overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Even though the Bulls’ fall on lottery night was disappointing, there are several potential franchise-changing players that could be available to the Bulls at pick seven.

That is if the Bulls decide to hold onto their draft pick. Although trade talks surrounding the Bulls pick have been almost nonexistent, the Bulls have the means to pull off a big draft day trade, whether that means moving up or down in the draft.

Regardless of what route the Bulls decide to take, this offseason should be a pivotal one in the state of the Bulls rebuild. The Bulls have a chance to progress their rebuild towards the winning stages but absolutely cannot mess up the draft or free agency period.

Here is how the Bulls can avoid doing just that en route to producing the “perfect” offseason.
