Chicago Bears: Unconventional NFC North quarterback rankings
By Ryan Heckman
Beer chugging, contract situation, beard appeal, among other things have been hot quarterback topics. Where does Mitchell Trubisky rank against his peers?
Quarterback discussions are all the rage, and the Chicago Bears have been right in the middle of them as of late. Fortunately for the fans, the Bears are no longer the butt of the jokes. On the contrary, they’re in a good spot.
It seems as though Aaron Rodgers started a firestorm when he attempted to chug a beer during a Milwaukee Bucks playoff game this spring, and things have gotten a bit out of hand. A few fellow quarterbacks around the NFL have decided to join in on the fun, and that includes two of Rodgers’ NFC North rivals.
Since when does beer chugging matter, you ask? Well, if you’re being serious, the answer is: Since Rodgers’ attempt was broadcasted for all to see — it’s pretty simple.
Other than just being able to pound a beer, though, what else matters in life?
O.K., that was facetious, of course. There’s much more to being an NFL quarterback than having the ability to chug a beer — just ask Rodgers himself.
All things considered, where do the NFC North quarterbacks rank when placed against each other? If you ask Pro Football Talk’s managing editor Michael David Smith, he likes Mitchell Trubisky.
So, let’s take all things into consideration (well, many things, at least). Whether it be age, contract, beer chugging, career accomplishments, recent success, among other things, the NFC North quarterback rankings are here for your debate.
Let’s dig into these four quarterbacks and where they stack up against one another. When it’s all over, you can tell me just how ridiculous and wrong I am. I’m here for it.
