Chicago Bulls: Free agent guards to back up Zach LaVine
By Ryan Heckman
Vince Carter — Unrestricted
He is reportedly set to come back for one more season. It’s time for his farewell tour, similar to that of Dwyane Wade did this past season. I would bet, somehow, that his last season is with the Toronto Raptors. However, if he were to come to Chicago, I’d bet the city would give him one heck of a last hoorah.

Vince Carter is one of my favorite players in the history of the game. Chances are, you might say the same. He completely changed the scene in Toronto nearly two decades ago, and put them on the map as a basketball city.
Last season, Carter still gave the Atlanta Hawks over 17 minutes per game. While he didn’t shoot the ball very well overall, he continues to be strong from beyond the arc (nearly 39 percent in 2018-2019).
Carter would offer the Bulls a huge amount of veteran leadership, showing these young guys the right way to do things. He continues to play the game with passion, not to mention rarely turns the ball over, as has been the case the majority of his career.
It’s a long shot, but landing Carter would be exciting, even though plenty of you reading this weren’t even in elementary school during his rookie season — maybe, you weren’t even born yet.
