If the Chicago Bears want to win Super Bowl LIV, these three things must happen in 2019.

The Chicago Bears will enter the 2019 season with incredibly lofty expectations. Last season, they may have snuck up on some people, as they were considered longshots to even make the playoffs, let alone win 12 games and be considered legitimate Super Bowl contenders in Matt Nagy’s first season.

But that’s just what happened. They exceeded even the highest expectations of most fans and were a Cody Parkey blunder away from potentially making a run at the Lombardi Trophy. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be. However, the Bears will enter the 2019 season as one of the favorites to get to the big game. In fact, they are currently the most heavily bet team to win the Super Bowl according to Caesars Palace.

So what do the Bears have to do this season if they are going to take that next step and bring a championship trophy to Chicago for the first time since 1985? Well, there are a few things that we will get to in a moment. But the most important thing is staying healthy. Obviously, without their health — which they had in abundance last year — none of what follows is relevant. In other words, if the players on the field, nothing else will matter as they won’t have a shot at hoisting the trophy in Miami.

But if they are able to keep their key players on the field, there are a few things that must happen in order for this team to win Super Bowl LIV, and we outline them below.
