Chicago White Sox: Who should make the all-star team?
2. Yoan Moncada
Yoan Moncada is on his way to his breakout season in the MLB. He wasn’t as good as we would have liked in 2018 but there were flashes of brilliance. Now, he is becoming the true star that the White Sox had hoped for when they traded Chris Sale in order to acquire him and Michael Kopech. Moncada made the move from second base to third base this offseason and has done really well there as well.

Yoan Moncada has changed a little bit about his approach and has been more aggressive at the plate and it has reduced his strikeout pace. Moncada currently has 9 home runs, and 32 RBIs, and a slash line of .282/.336/.490.
This is a season that is better than even the most optimistic people would have maybe been hesitant to predict and he is just scratching the surface of his potential. This guy is going to be an elite player someday and he is showing it now.
There are some elite third basemen in the American League so his position makes it difficult to guarantee that he will be there, but he is certainly deserving of making the squad.
He should be the biggest hope for White Sox fans to get in because the White Sox put a lot of stock in this guy and are building their core around him and a few other guys.
