Although the Chicago Bulls aren’t a prime free agent destination and fell in the draft lottery, this is how they can have the perfect offseason.

In a perfect world, the Chicago Bulls would be title contenders. They would have landed LeBron James almost a decade ago, and he would have stayed for the remainder of his career. LeBron and the Bulls would have gone on to win five or six championships while Derrick Rose never experienced a knee injury.

What a pipe dream.

The reality is, however, the Bulls have been a bit of a train wreck over the last few years. The organization is trying to find an identity at the head coaching position, and appear committed to what Jim Boylen is doing with the young team.

So, the Bulls have their coach. They appear to have a talented, young core which should be fun to watch when they’re all healthy. What now?

Chicago has some pieces in place, but still has a long way to go. The point guard position is far from solved, and depth is nearly non-existent.

Fans have turned their attention to the 2019 NBA Draft now, and although we’re all disappointed in the Bulls falling to no. 7 overall, that night still offers hope. What will the Bulls do at the seventh pick? Well, if all goes right, they might end up solving that point guard problem.

How about free agency? Realistically, who do the Bulls have a shot at signing? Let’s be honest with ourselves, here. It likely won’t be too pretty, come July.

Even though the Bulls don’t have a top-3 pick and won’t be a prime free agent destination, the team could still come out of this offseason as a surefire playoff team. How? Much would have to go right, but it’s not out of the realm of possibilities.

How do the Bulls ensure they have the perfect offseason? It all boils down to five moves. Check ’em out.
