As the White Sox look to fix their pitching with loads of help on the way all over the field, selecting yet another pitcher in the draft would do them well. Pitching prospects are highly touted and could be good trade bait if you’re ever looking to add at other positions of need. Will Ethridge out of Ole Miss is the guy for the White Sox in the fifth round.

He is having a pretty good season at Ole Miss as he is 6-6 in 14 starts but sporting a 3.00 ERA. In 81 innings pitched he has 67 strikeouts and only 22 walks. These are some good numbers for the Ole Miss junior looking to be drafted by a Major League franchise. He is a right-handed pitcher looking to go pro at some point and if the White Sox are thinking about a pitch heavy draft, they should take him if he falls to their fifth-round selection.

The White Sox have potential superstars in the outfield in Eloy Jimenez and Luis Robert is also on the way. However, should another one of their outfield prospects not pan out or have injury problems, it would be smart for them to grab Michigan’s extremely versatile outfielder Jordan Brewer.

dark. Next. White Sox: Lucas Giolito's return to elite form

Brewer was originally scouted by Michigan as a football player but committed to them like a baseball player after transferring in from Lincoln Trail Community College. Last year, he slashed 0.358/0.415/0.637 with 12 home runs and 52 RBI’s. He also swiped 19 bases and had 18 doubles.
