Chicago Bulls Rumors: 4 reasons to trade for Lonzo Ball

4. Free agency will not be kind
If you are reading this and think the Bulls even have a slight shot at landing a Kyrie Irving or Kemba Walker via free agency, I have to question which Bulls franchise you’ve been watching over the last five seasons.
Chicago is not going to land a top-tier free agent. It ain’t happening.
Let’s talk about a best-case scenario, should the Bulls look to free agency to address the position. The absolute best outcome, from my perspective, is seeing the Bulls pay Malcolm Brogdon and the Milwaukee Bucks letting him walk. Milwaukee wants to keep Khris Middleton and also played well without Brogdon, so the Bulls may have an outside chance here.
If not Brogdon, do the Bulls bring in Patrick Beverley or try and reunite with Derrick Rose? Both are interesting options, but don’t fit with the youth movement within this organization.
Because Paxson isn’t going to have a chance at landing a surefire point guard of the future this summer, Ball seems like a logical option. He has become a calculated risk, should the Bulls pull the trigger.
