2. The defense features elite talent like Khalil Mack and Roquan Smith

Most want to look at the Jaguars defense and say that it features elite players like Cornerback Jalen Ramsey. While this is true, it’s clear that the Bears defense is far better and features elite talent at all three levels.

If you break the Bears defense down, the defensive line features guys like Akiem Hicks while the linebacker core and secondary feature players like Khalil Mack and Eddie Jackson. While the Bears dominant performance on defense was led by Vic Fangio who departed for a head coaching gig this offseason, the Bears replaced Fangio with Chuck Pagano.

Despite losing Adrian Amos and Bryce Callahan this offseason, the Bears return every defensive starter from 2018. Additionally, the presence of Khalil Mack makes the Bears defense one of the most dangerous in the NFL.

Considering the Bears defense is one of the best in the NFL, it’s clear that the Bears have a chance to be even better in 2019 and the presence of major players like Mack, Jackson, and Smith is a big will ensure that happens.
