Chicago Bulls: Potential free agent adds from Boston Celtics
By Ryan Heckman
Point Guard Terry Rozier — Restricted
This is the player every Bulls fan is currently talking about. Point guard Terry Rozier was one of the main reasons the Celtics surged to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2018, but he took a back seat this last season once Kyrie Irving returned from injury.
Rozier’s comments about his future have been all over the place recently, and unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d likely agree he isn’t coming back to Boston. In fact, he might just be on his way to Chicago when all is said and done.
A recent report suggests Rozier is definitely on Chicago’s radar going into the summer months. At first glance, Rozier may not be a significant upgrade over Kris Dunn. But, when you take scoring into consideration, Rozier takes it up a notch from Dunn’s lack of production.
Overall, he’s only a 38 percent shooter for his career, but has a bit more comfort from long distance than Dunn does. The biggest difference between Rozier and Dunn comes with how aggressive they play.
Rozier is much more sure of himself, and plays with a strong confidence and a tough defensive edge. Dunn, meanwhile, is a good defender, but we’re still waiting around for him to reach his potential on that side of the ball. In Rozier, you know you’re getting a confident player who attacks on both ends of the floor.
