Fans can appreciate when someone creates stunning, original content of their favorite teams. Chicago Bears fans, meet artist Matthew Sharpe.

There are a lot of things out there which make fans all warm and fuzzy inside. Most of the time, it’s winning. After all, isn’t that what it’s all about? Chicago Bears fans finally had a legitimate reason to be more than just cautiously optimistic last season, when the team dominated the NFC North and soared to the top of the NFL’s most feared defenses.

Aside from winning, though, fans want to feel part of the team. It’s all about personal connection. We buy the jerseys, drive to the games, put up the posters and, if you’re like me, anyone who comes in contact with you will undoubtedly hear about your love for a particular team or player.

Chances are, if you’re reading this right now, you have some kind of device depicting Chicago sports in some fashion. Am I right? It’s your iPhone, laptop, tablet — or all of the above.

If you saw my iPhone at the moment, you’d see an incredible graphic created by freelance sports artist Matthew Sharpe.

This is a guy who has turned a hobby into a strong following on social media, and has his sights set on going even further in the industry. Recently, I had the chance to get to know Matthew a bit and thought I’d share a little more about one of the most talented artists I’ve come across in the freelance sports world.

If you’re tracking on Twitter, you’ve probably seen me raving about his work. Matthew has a way of portraying the Bears (among other teams and players) in a vivid and stunning manner, and I thought you all should have the pleasure of viewing it as well. Not only that, but let’s get to know Matthew a little bit, shall we?
