1. DE Ezekiel Ansah

One of the names that was projected to sign during the second wave of free agency in March, Ezekiel Ansah is still on the market which means that his value and price tag will be significantly lower than most originally thought.

A former member of the Detroit Lions, Ansah has 48 sacks over the last six seasons. Now, as he approaches age 30, it’s clear that if he’s interested in winning a championship, his best bet may be to just sign a cheap deal with a contender.

The Bears should look at Ansah for two main reasons. First, when healthy, he’d be a guy who could take pressure off of someone like Khalil Mack or Leonard Floyd. Ansah is the type of veteran that could see at least 15 snaps a game and make an impact.

A second major reason the Bears should consider signing Ansah is due to the fact that he’d be a major upgrade over Aaron Lynch. Although Ansah primarily played defensive end during his time in Detroit, he does have the measurables to play at outside linebacker which is where he’d fit on the Bears defense.

Ansah is likely to sign a one-year deal worth five million dollars. As the Bears continue their quest to build a Super Bowl contender, a player like Ansah is the perfect veteran fit to bring in.
