Forward Paul Millsap — Team Option
Before we get into discussing Paul Millsap, I have to say, I highly doubt the Denver Nuggets decline his team option for the upcoming season. The Nuggets were a pleasant surprise this season, and Millsap is just one of many reasons why.
Like the Blazers, the Nuggets have done a fantastic job filling out their roster over the last few years. Whether it’s been via drafting well or adding key free agents like Millsap, it’s no wonder both the Nuggets and Blazers have looked impressive — and are squaring off in the second round as we speak.
Millsap is one of those guys you may have forgotten over the last several years, but when you watch him, you remember just how good he is. One thing I appreciate about Millsap, aside from the fact he’s always been one of the more physical guys at his position, is the fact that he’s adapted.
The NBA has changed a lot, even since Millsap entered the league. He’s steadily improved his outside shot over the years, and this past season shot the second-best percentage of his career at 36.5 percent. Millsap still has a lot of starters qualities, and I don’t think he’ll be leaving Denver, but he’d make for some tremendous depth on the Bulls’ young roster.
