Free agents likely within Bulls’ range

If the Bulls do attempt to try and sign any name remotely recognizable, these are some of the guys I’d like to think they have a chance at bringing to Chicago.

Guard/Forward Rodney Hood – Unrestricted

Over the years, Hood has consistently averaged double figures in scoring. He’s always been considered a strong bench presence, although he’s started a good amount of games over his career. Hood is a classic 3-and-D wing.

Guard Austin Rivers – Unrestricted

Rivers’ best trait is his name, as the son of Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers. He’s an average scorer and is more of a two guard than point guard. He’d be an OK depth signing.

Point Guard T.J. McConnell – Unrestricted

McConnell is a smart basketball player, and looking at his averages over his career you wouldn’t anticipate he’d be a starting-caliber point guard. However, on the Bulls, with the scoring options at his disposal, he’d be an upgrade over Dunn in my opinion.

Forward Jeff Green – Unrestricted

The journeyman forward averaged over 12 points on 47.5 percent shooting in Washington this last year. He’d be great depth behind the starting forwards and his veteran presence would help set the tone Boylen is trying to keep going.

Forward Markieff Morris – Unrestricted

Like Green, Morris would add solidified depth in the front court. He’s an average scorer, but a gritty player who goes and gets the tough rebounds and doesn’t back down defensively.

Point Guard Derrick Rose – Unrestricted

There is far too much to say about Rose, whom many fans would like to see come back to the Bulls this offseason. He will definitely listen to the Bulls should they call this summer, and he’d lock down the point guard position for the foreseeable future.
