The future Chicago White Sox superstar finally took a Major League pitch out of the park and fans should be very excited about it.

The Chicago White Sox made it rain — in the actual rain — on Friday night in the Bronx facing the New York Yankees. The final score was determined as the game was considered a complete game in the seventh inning. The White Sox got the early win by a score of 9-6.

The team played well but the highlight of the game was the play of future star outfield Eloy Jimenez. He finally took a Major League pitch out of the park for his first career home run. It was long awaited for White Sox fans to see this happen at the MLB level after over a year of him dominating Minor League pitching.

Jimenez followed up his first career home run with yet another bomb on his third hit of the ballgame. He was faced with some tough pitches early on in the season but he seems to be figuring it out now.

Most would agree that he is now looking like the player that the White Sox traded for when they sent former All-Star Jose Quintana to the North side. He is the youngest player to hit two home runs in a game since Harold Baines did it in 1980. It is really cool to see it all come together for some youngsters in this organization.

His batting average increased from .279 to .319 in the game giving him a slash line of .319/.360/.468. This guy has a chance to not only be one of the best players on the White Sox but one of the elite superstars in all of Major League Baseball. His power and natural strength at the plate are very good and he showed it in his first career game at Yankee Stadium.

Yankee Stadium has that right field porch that is pretty close-in for an MLB park, but he hit his first home run at straightaway center. The ball traveled 425’. His second flew to left center, and Yankee Stadium has one of the farther left centers in the MLB. This one traveled an impressive 446’. This man’s power is there and he will surely hit many home runs in his career.

Now we just have to wait for them to start piling up, including his first career home run at Guaranteed Rate Field. The crowd will likely go insane when that happens. Eloy Jimenez is officially off and running.
