Chicago Blackhawks: Top 5 moments of the 2018-19 season

The Chicago Blackhawks had an up and down year that ultimately ended up coming to an end without a visit to the playoffs, but there were some great moments.

The Chicago Blackhawks had a very okay year. They expected to make the playoffs going into the season, but that ultimately did not happen. Some questionable decisions led to their ultimate demise this year, but the play of some great players at big moments really kept them in it almost until the end.

In this, we will look back at the 2018-19 season in a bit of a positive light and pick out the five best or most memorable moments of the season. It didn’t go into the playoffs but we didn’t have to look too hard to find some great moments that define this team. This team, even though it didn’t end well, was an improvement to the 2017-18 year in every aspect of the game.

This list has moments from early on in the season, and some from down the stretch when the team showed glimpses of the potential playoff team they expected to be. Hopefully, the way some of the guys played down the stretch gives them confidence that with some smart decision making this summer they can get to where they need to be.
