Chicago Bears Mock Draft: Round 4 best case scenarios
By Ryan Heckman
Safety Amani Hooker, Iowa
My goodness, if you have kept up with our content here at Da Windy City, you know that Amani Hooker is one of our team’s favorite prospects in this year’s draft. Could it be our affinity for the Big Ten? Sure, that’s part of it. But, Hooker is one of the absolute best prospects who could fall right around where the Bears are selecting.

I’ll be the first to say Hooker might be a reach in the third round, but I’d still be fine with the Bears snagging him there. If he fell to the fourth, Hooker is a must-draft guy.
Hailing from Minneapolis, MN Hooker is one of those eye-popping athletes at the safety position. He can play both free and strong safety, giving the Bears a ton of versatility if he were to come to Chicago.
Hooker’s Combine was pretty impressive. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.48 seconds and posted a 37.0 inch vertical jump. Quick footwork is also part of his repertoire, as his 3-cone drill was a strong 6.81 seconds.
As a well-built kid, Hooker plays strong and aggressively. He is solid in run support and plays to his strengths while in the box. He is definitely comfortable towards the line of the scrimmage, and is always looking to make a play on the ball. If he is available in the fourth round, it’s almost impossible to pass him up.
