After a very up and down season for the Chicago Blackhawks, they will look to end their season on a high note as they prepare for an important offseason.

The Chicago Blackhawks are not going to the playoffs after a long up and down season. There were good things and bad things, but they came up just short. They ran out of gas after a stretch in the second half that put them back in contention. Once certain players came back down to earth a little bit, the wheels started to fall off.

There will be lots of coverage over the offseason about what is to come and what can be done to make sure this team gets where it needs to be. After not making it to the playoffs for the second year in a row and making it four seasons without a playoff series win at all, there are probably going to be some changes this summer. That all remains to be seen.

The important thing for this current team is to make sure they play well to end the season and prove to everyone that they are a force to be reckoned with going forward. They end their season against some strong teams that are going to the playoffs and could very well make runs in said playoffs.

With guys like Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane in the lineup, nobody will ever take the Blackhawks lightly no matter where they sit in the standings. It is important for veterans and youngsters to finish strong.

There isn’t much spoiler to be played this weekend as far as ruining the playoffs for their opponents, but they can heavily impact the Central Division Champion and playoff seeding. It certainly would be fun to watch this team make another team’s road to the Stanley Cup more difficult than it already is. You know that with the championship pedigree that some of the players  have, there is too much pride on the line to just let these last two games slide. They will try to put on a show.
