In the April edition of the Chicago Bears monthly mailbag, our own Usayd Koshul answers questions about the NFL Draft and gives his thoughts on how the Bears free agency period.

For the Chicago Bears, free agency came and went. The Bears didn’t make any major moves, but one thing the Bears did do was add players who fit the offensive and defensive vision of the team. While some fans weren’t impressed, the Bears might’ve just made some underrated signings that could pay off big time. In other words, don’t underestimate the value of players like Cordarrelle Patterson, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, and Mike Davis.

Yet over the last few weeks, we’ve gotten a clearer idea of what the Bears 2019 season is going to be like. With that, it’s also fair to wonder what the expectations for Mitchell Trubisky are going to be in year three and how the Bears defense can stay elite under Chuck Pagano.

We know the Bears are set to open up their 100th season on Thursday, September 5th against the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field. Then we also know that the NFL Draft is right around the corner and that the Bears have one final chance to add talent to their roster.

A lot has changed since my last edition of the Bears mailbag. Jordan Howard is gone while the Bears re-signed Aaron Lynch. With free agency in the rearview mirror, the Bears are fully focused on the NFL Draft.

With Ryan Pace at the helm, it’s hard to see which direction the Bears are going to go in when the NFL Draft finally rolls around. But we know this much: If Pace sees a weakness on the roster, he’ll do anything he can to address it.

With the NFL offseason in full swing, fans were asked to provide questions they had about the Bears. Each month, we’ll ask fans to provide their questions on Twitter and then we’ll answer the best ones in our monthly mailbag segment.
