6. Damien Harris, Alabama

After four solid years at Alabama, Damien Harris is ready to make the jump to the NFL. Right away, when looking at Harris, it’s clear he’s got good vision, which is perhaps his most underrated trait. One of the best things to like about Harris is his ability to see the entire field on both the first and second level.

In 2018, Harris spent time in Alabama’s committee backfield which included Josh Jacobs and Najee Harris. After getting a chance to be a regular part of Alabama’s offense beginning in 2016, Harris rushed for 2913 yards and scored 22 touchdowns.

Harris is someone that doesn’t shy away from contact. He uses all the power in his body to deliver a major blow to any defenders that are in his way. Despite not being overly explosive, Harris is elusive to a point where he can win on each play due to his vision.

Harris is also someone who has the makings of being an effective option for a team in the passing game. He can be the type of guy that will catch a short pass on first or second down and due to his vision, turn it into a long gain.

When scouting Harris, it’s fair to wonder if he is really a finished product or not. Is he someone that is going to get better due to NFL coaching or someone who’s reached his ceiling? Due to the limited wear and tear that he has, it’s fair to expect Harris to be someone who can be a starter for a team from day one but will ultimately, thrive in a committee approach.
