5. Darrell Henderson, Memphis

After averaging nine yards per carry in 2018, it’s fair to wonder why Darrell Henderson isn’t being talked about more. The three-year starter also averaged 15.5 yards per reception when catching the football in 2018.

Two of Henderson’s best qualities are his power and toughness. While he may not be the most powerful running back on the field, when he is running at full speed, he is hard to bring down. Then there’s his toughness, which is perhaps the best part of his game. Henderson is always willing to do the dirty work and push forward for extra yards.

Looking at Henderson’s play style, it’s clear that he can be an effective runner and receiver, however, he doesn’t seem to be a guy who brings tons of versatility to the table. He is elusive and when in space, creates opportunities for himself to turn any play into a big one.

Looking at where he fits with the Bears, he’d be a nice complement to Tarik Cohen. While Cohen brings the speed, Henderson would bring the power to form an ideal running back duo. As of right now, Henderson isn’t a do-it-all running back, but he is one who can provide a handful of carries each game and provide solid reliable play.
