10. Bruce Anderson, North Dakota State

If the Bears fans are looking for the next Matt Forte or something similar to him, then they should look no further than Bruce Anderson. Looking at Anderson, he too is a do-it-all running back with patience and multiple good traits.

Over the past four seasons, Anderson was a regular part of North Dakota State’s offense, totaling 2896 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns. Going to a smaller school, it’s fair to wonder why more people aren’t talking about Anderson. Since the NFL Draft is notorious for hidden gems, Anderson needs to be on the Bears radar.

One of Anderson’s most underrated traits might just be his versatility. If drafted by the Bears, Anderson has the ability to play in multiple spots for the Bears offense. He’s excellent at running routes meaning that he can play in the slot if needed or can merely run routes out of the backfield.

Anderson clearly loves the game of football. He’s not afraid to get physical or shy away from contact. He’s also powerful too, who will fight for every yard. He isn’t the type of player that will take down every guy that’s in his way but will do whatever needed to make sure that his legs keep churning.

At this point, Anderson hasn’t been linked to the Bears, but if he’s on the board in the third round, the Bears absolutely need to pull the trigger on him. In an offense like Matt Nagy’s, there is no telling who rises to the top and Anderson has everything it takes to be a three-down player at the next level.
