Chicago Bears: Potential replacements for Jordan Howard
By Ryan Heckman
Spencer Ware, Free Agent
An intriguing guy still available in free agency, Spencer Ware indeed has a connection to the Bears. With Nagy and Ware having a relationship built while both were with the Kansas City Chiefs, this signing would make a lot of sense.

Ware knows Nagy’s offense and could step right in and see success. The biggest question mark with Ware is whether or not he is able to stay on the field. He has a history of injuries, and if the Bears were to bring him in, they would likely want to have a fourth back on the roster just in case.
Assuming Ware is healthy and can stay that way, he would be a solid fit. He has shown the knack for catching the football and has had experience both as a starter and a third-down back.
His best year as a pro came in 2016, where he started 14 games. Ware rushed for 921 yards and three scores while catching 33 passes for 447 yards and two touchdowns.
Ware is still only 27 years old and, if the Bears didn’t address this need in the draft, he could be a decent rental for a year or two.
