Chicago Bulls: One draft prospect from each Sweet Sixteen team
Kentucky Wildcats: Tyler Herro
On a team in Kentucky that is routinely stacked top-to-bottom with NBA talent, freshman guard Tyler Herro is one of the only legitimate NBA draft prospects.
Chicago Bulls
Regardless, Herro is one of the better prospects in the class, possessing a special combo of game control and shooting ability.
Herro is a well above-average shooter, prime passer, and runs the offense as good as any guard in the country. For a player that wasn’t necessarily on the radar of any teams or scouts heading into the season, Herro’s rise up draft big boards was a surprise.
Additionally, he would be a great fit on the Bulls. Herro wouldn’t start just yet but is the type of high-percentage shooter and premier passer that the Bulls could certainly use off the bench.
Finally, Herro’s progression from the start of the season makes him a serious sleeper candidate in the draft. The Bulls could move into the middle of the first round, select Herro, and give him a year to develop off the bench.
Herro wouldn’t be an option in the lottery, but if the Bulls decide to add a second first round pick like they did last year, Herro would be a viable option to add depth to the bench, while having serious future starter potential.
Whenever Herro is ready to contribute in the rotation, the Bulls will have themselves a good point guard that is an above-average passer, shooter and has a plus feel for the game.
