Michigan State: Cassius Winston

The first player on this list that won’t be a first-round pick, Michigan State junior point guard Cassius Winston has emerged as one of the best players in the country throughout the course of the season.

And while he probably won’t declare for the draft, he’s worth keeping an eye on for Bulls fans.

Winston is one of the top floor generals in the country and has the “it” factor. Winston has the potential to take over a game, whether it be with his shooting or passing. That is something that the Bulls could really use.

If Winston decides to declare for the draft, which he probably won’t, he’ll almost certainly be a late second round pick. However, his leadership on the court is admirable and should make him an intriguing option for the Bulls if they decide to trade back into the late second round.

For a team that could really, really use some point guard depth, Cassius Winston is an ideal fit to that void, even if his NBA draft stock isn’t sky-high.

Even if the Bulls have to wait a year for Winston to be available in the draft, they should still have their eyes on him. Winston has a low floor as a second-round draft prospect but should be a good fit on the Bulls, even if it is likely in a reserve role. Winston isn’t a hot draft prospect, but in the Bulls’ case, he might fit their exact mold that they are looking for in the second round.
