Virginia Cavaliers: De’Andre Hunter

Even though they might be one of the best teams in the country, the Virginia Cavaliers don’t have a clear star player like other elite teams.

However, the Cavaliers happen to have one of the best prospects in the entire class, and he just so happens to be slotted to go near where the Bulls will pick.

His name is De’Andre Hunter. The sophomore guard/forward is an excellent scorer and defender and was the ACC Sixth Man of the Year last year. While Hunter has transitioned to the starting rotation, his experience and success off the bench would bode really well with the Bulls, at least for his rookie season.

Hunter has typically been slotted between spots four and eight in the NBA draft, which is exactly where the Bulls will pick. While Hunter might not be the most well-known or hyped up NBA draft prospect, Bulls fans should be pleased if a player such as Hunter falls into their hands in the draft.

Hunter has progressed very nicely since his freshman year, which was a spectacular year nonetheless. If you’re a big believer in linear progression like I am, you’ll be able to infer that Hunter is due for even more improvement next year, which is going to be his rookie year.

Improvement from an All-ACC selection? We’ll take that for sure.

Slot Hunter in as the sixth man on a sharp-shooting Bulls team, and you’ve got a deep, young, and exciting front six. Hunter has a low floor and a high ceiling and would be the perfect safe pick for the Bulls, who needless to say, absolutely need to ace next year’s draft.
