Chicago Bulls: One draft prospect from each Sweet Sixteen team
Oregon Ducks: Bol Bol
The Oregon Ducks have been this year’s Cinderella team, making it to the Sweet Sixteen as a twelve seed. While there are a number of players that the Ducks have that could make a big impact in the NBA, it just so happens to be the one Oregon player that hasn’t made an impact that would be the best fit on the Bulls.
That player is Bol Bol, a five-star center who went down just a couple of games into the season with a broken foot.
Heading into the season, Bol was one of the top recruits and was thus one of the highest-ranking draft prospects in the entire country. Bol is a 7-foot-3 center with one of the best three-point shots in the game and has the potential to be the best rebounder and scorer on the floor at any time.
If the Bulls take a chance on Bol, it would need to be after assuming the risk with his foot injury. Foot injuries are a constant career-ended for big men, and for Bol to experience a serious foot injury so early in his basketball career would be a major red flag.
However, Bol is a once-in-a-lifetime talent as a 7-foot big man with pure scoring ability, and if the Bulls feel the need to improve the center position in the draft, I have a feeling that Bol will be at the top of the list.
I’m sure most Bulls fans would love to see Bol in a Bulls uniform purely off of his name, but Bol’s talent and potential should be the main reason why everyone would love to see Bol in a Bulls uniform. If he’s healthy, look for the Bulls to take serious time into the scouting of Bol.
