LSU Tigers: Naz Reid

Perhaps the most interesting team remaining in the Sweet Sixteen, the three seed LSU Tigers have an interesting mix of freshman talent, experienced stardom, and controversy. Without their head coach Will Wade amidst an investigation from the NCAA, the Tigers miraculously survived a pair of upset bids en route to clinching a trip to the Sweet Sixteen.

Despite the chaos, the Tigers have their best NBA draft prospect since 2016 in big man Naz Reid. Reid has been the biggest contributor to the Tigers, as the former five-star freshman is their top rebounder, post scorer, and is the emotional leader on their team. Furthermore, Reid has a sweet stroke from deep, which will translate very well to the NBA.

If the Bulls decide to take a chance in the first round and swing for the fences on a surprise pick in Reid, they would get themselves an NBA-level scorer, whose game translates very well to the NBA level. By adding another big man with a knack for hitting the deep ball.

Maybe this isn’t the year where the Bulls should be taking a big risk in the early first round, but Reid has shown serious progression throughout the season, and might just have the star potential that the Bulls could decide to take a chance on in the draft.

Most fans won’t agree with it, but personally, I would absolutely love to see a passionate big man such as Reid in a Bulls uniform.
