A mid-round prospect I wouldn’t mind the Bears taking a flier on is a guy who appeared in 14 games in his first three years at Alabama, before appearing in 14 games just last season alone. Christian Miller is an intriguing pass rusher, who could benefit from quite a bit of grooming and experience.
Fortunately, the Bears don’t need a starter at the position, and Miller would be learning from some elite company.
Miller is fairly athletic at his position, and is still growing as well. He has a quick get-off from the line and can do it either standing or with a hand in the dirt. Coming out of college, he strikes a lot of similarities with how Leonard Floyd looked as a prospect. Some consider him too light, needing to add some bulk to his body.
Other than being a little skinny, my biggest gripe with taking Miller too high is simply the lack of production over his college career. Outside of 2018, he hasn’t had much on-field time and will need some development. I’d be fine with Miller in Round 4.
