Chicago Bears: Overlooked, intriguing free agents still available

Guard T.J. Lang
Since 2009, the Bears have seen T.J. Lang twice every season. Of course, he played the majority of his career with the Packers from 2009-2016. Then, Lang signed with the Detroit Lions, staying in the division.
As a staple in front of Rodgers for years, Lang started an impressive 94 games for Green Bay. After earning his first Pro Bowl nod in 2016, he left for the Lions where he continued his stellar play, earning a second-straight bid in 2017.
Last year, Lang appeared in just six games before heading to injured reserve with a neck injury. Now 31 years old, Lang has mulled the thought of retirement. Sure, age 31 isn’t exactly old. But, with now having several documented concussions, he’s given it some thought.
If Lang decides to commit to playing in 2019, he would be a valuable addition to the depth up front in Chicago. This is, of course, if he is medically cleared to play. Like Cobb, knowing the ins and outs of the division would be an advantage, and his veteran leadership would pair well up front with a guy like Kyle Long.
