With the end of the season nearing, it is time to look forward to the future for the Chicago Bulls. Can they land a future star in the 2019 NBA Draft?

The Chicago Bulls have been playing better as of late, but that might not be a good thing.

The Bulls have been out of the playoff race since the season started. While it’s nice to see the Bulls core playing well, all it is doing is damaging the Bulls draft position.

As of right now, the Bulls are slated to pick fourth overall in the July draft. While that might seem like a high pick, the top three picks in the draft are determined, as there is a trio of premier prospects that look destined for stardom.

However, while the Bulls sit on the outside looking in on that top three, there is still an abundance of desirable young prospects that will be available for the Bulls at pick four.

The Bulls, regardless of their draft spot, will certainly be adding another piece to the rebuild. With their highest pick in over ten years looming, the Bulls absolutely need to get this draft right. They’ve done a good enough job in the past couple of years, but considering their high pick, the Bulls need to nail their selection in order to progress the rebuild into its deeper stages.

Luckily for the Bulls, there is a fairly obvious pick at number four. In our last mock draft, that pick was Ja Morant. Recently, Morant’s stock has risen, and it is in all likelihood that Morant will be gone by pick four.

Nonetheless, I like the Bulls’ chances of getting a star, even if it might be outside the top three. Let’s get to know the prospects who we could be seeing for many years in Chicago.
