3) OLB Shaquil Barrett

Like Shane Ray, Shaquil Barrett is another player who showed promise for the Broncos, but could still be on his way out of the Mile High City. An undrafted free agent in 2014, Barrett has totaled 14.0 sacks since becoming a regular part of the Broncos 53-man roster in 2015.

The positive thing about Barrett is that while he doesn’t rack up too many sacks, what he is able to do is hit the quarterback. Even after playing behind Shane Ray and Bradley Chubb on the Broncos depth chart in 2018, Barrett still managed to notch seven quarterback hits.

Barrett is an interesting player. He’s not a guy who’s going to do too much, however, he will find a way to be serviceable. Additionally, despite missing three games in 2018, Barrett has been one of the more healthier players on the Broncos over the last four seasons.

As of right now, Barrett is a name worth keeping an eye on. He’d be much cheaper than his counterpart Shane Ray and would receive a contract that’s a one or two-year deal, worth two or three million dollars.

He’s a player who isn’t a top-tier edge rusher, but will still find work due to his reliability and consistency. With the free agent market being loaded with big-name pass rushers like Ezekiel Ansah, Demarcus Lawrence, Vinny Curry, and Brandon Graham, Barrett will be a guy who most likely signs in the second wave of free agency.
