As we continue our series where we examine potential free agent adds for the Chicago Bears, we now turn to the Denver Broncos, a team that’s undergoing a retooling.

With NFL free agency around the corner, the decisions that the Chicago Bears make over the next two weeks will give us a clearer picture of what the Bears are going to do in free agency. Unlike 2018 where the goal was to add playmakers to the roster, the goal in 2019 will be to add depth pieces to a roster with very few needs.

The Denver Broncos are an interesting team. Now led by former Bears Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio, Denver seems to be undergoing a retooling of the roster. This means that there are some players that Denver will be looking to move on from while keeping most of the core players intact.

While the Bears could make a play for any of the names mentioned, they must keep in mind that they are low on cap space and cannot afford to spend too much money or overpay for any specific player.

On offense, the Bears could likely decide to bring on a new guard for two main reasons. With Kyle Long returning, the Bears need to find more depth behind him. Byran Witzmann didn’t exactly impress in his seven starts in 2018 and was more of a liability than an asset. Second, they could merely decide to bring in some training camp competition and structure the deal in such a way where if the Bears are not satisfied with the player, they could easily move on from him.

As the Bears and Ryan Pace get ready to gear up for free agency, which are some names from the Mile High City that they could potentially look at to fill in needs on the roster?
