Chicago Bears: Pre-NFL Combine mock draft
With the NFL Scouting Combine just around the corner, we look at who could end up on the Chicago Bears.
It’s that time of year again for the Chicago Bears and their fans. The NFL Draft season is upon us which means scouting reports and mock drafts. The East-West Shrine game and Senior Bowl are behind us, and now all eyes of scouts, general managers and pundits will turn to Indianapolis.
Beginning on February 25th and running through March 4th, 337 draft hopefuls will descend upon Lucas Oil Stadium, the home of the Indianapolis Colts. During that time, they will be put through a series of drills and tests to measure their athleticism, agility, and strength.
By now, teams have watched an incredible amount of film on these players and have even had the opportunity to observe some in person, whether it was during the regular season, bowl season, or all-star games. But in Indianapolis, they will have the chance to watch them up close and even interview some in a more intimate environment.
The Bears will send their contingent to Indy, which will surely include Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy. Pace has demonstrated an uncanny ability to hit on middle-to-late round draft picks throughout his tenure. He is going to have to repeat that same level of success this year, as the Bears only have five picks, and don’t pick for the first time until Round 3. They will not have any glaring holes to fill this year, but definitely, have a few needs.
With that as our backdrop, we dive into our first mock draft of the season ahead of the combine.
