First, we look at sophomore Tremont Waters out of LSU. At the moment, very few people are talking about him. But, he has the makings of a very capable backup point guard in the NBA. If the Bulls choose to snag him in the second round, he could be one to develop a little bit and provide a spark off the bench.
Because of his size at 5-foot-11, it’s hard to consider him a huge threat at the NBA level. But, smaller guys have made names for themselves in the past. It isn’t impossible. Waters is a quick guard who can steer past defenders in a hurry. It’s his effort on every inch of the court which makes him a likable prospect.
Waters plays a lot of minutes, and seems to have plenty of energy for each and every one of them — over 32 minutes per game, to be exact. It is his motor which keeps his Tigers rolling, and come March, he might make an even bigger case to be a second-round steal. Waters will certainly be one to watch in the tournament, should LSU make any kind of run.
